BOOST SELF-CONFIDENCE

Practicing Tae Kwon Do as it provides with a full body and mind workout that is not only beneficial to maintain a healthy physical body but can also help boost confidence.
Students may be faced with a multitude of issues such as being a subject of bullying, societal pressure to act in a certain way, and peer pressure. In these instances, the practice of Tae Kwon Do can help to realize their Self-Worth, helps boost their Self-Confidence and Self-Esteem by way of developing mental
fortitude and grit resilience. For example, our program follows the belt rank system wherein one works their way up to being promoted and earning different belts as per their skills. As you watch your child being “promoted” and being valued for their position, Self-Confidence, and Self-Esteem continue to rise.

RESPECT THEMSELVES&OTHERS

Teens sometimes seem to be all attitude and no respect-in fact, it can seem like they go out of the way to disrespect all authority figures.

In our Tae Kwon Do School, respect is a core discipline.
Students must treat their Masters, Instructors and fellow students with respect at all times.

Ultimately, teens who study Tae Kwon Do learn that when they respect themselves, others will respect them too.

DISCIPLINE TRANSLATES TO SCHOOL, HOME, & BEYOND

Teenagers tend to take the easy way out when presented with challenges at home and at school.

Tae Kwon Do Classes teach students to discipline themselves in the pursuit of desired goals. As they achieve their goals, they learn to appreciate the role that discipline played in getting them there.

LEARNING SELF-DEFENSE

There are lots of benefits to gain when learning Self-Defense techniques, these benefits will not only make you feel more secure, it will also increase security-awareness and fitness.

Every class, teens will learn how to escape quickly by disabling attackers but the most important safety tip they will learn is, the levels of safety they feel measurable. When teens train regularly, they start to understand what their bodies are capable of, how their bodies respond to threats and stress, and what others are capable of. Knowing these things help decrease the risk of being surprised and freezing up.

BETTER FITNESS

The benefits of Tae Kwon Do are numerous. Focus, Self-Confidence, Self-Control, Self-Defense, Concentration, just to name a few. To focus specifically on teenagers, however, additional benefits from Tae Kwon Do can be FITNESS.

Teenagers are quickly growing into their bodies. At this point in their life, physical conditioning such as the Martial Arts is a great way to build to neurological connections between the brain and muscles for better coordination and balance that will be used the rest of their life. While this is true of any sports, Tae Kwon Do has one advantage, it doesn’t have to be competitive. This leads to less frustration, fewer injuries, and therefore a much more positive atmosphere which leads to greater success and longevity.

  • My daughter Abby has started taking Tae Kwon Do the very first month that Master Lee opened the Yong In Lee’s Martial Arts school here in Midland, Texas. Over the past six years, I have had the opportunity to see the school grow, and watch my daughter grow into a happy and successful teenager. Through her Tae Kwon Do training, Abby has developed confidence, social skills, respect, focus, and perseverance, in a fun and healthy environment. Abby has had the chance to travel out of town for the competition, as well as to South Korea to train and practice Tae Kwon Do, all while learning and experiencing the culture as well. Given the good times, great friends and wonderful memories that Abby has enjoyed during her time at Tae Kwon Do school, I would strongly encourage everyone to start training today!
